Our physiotherapists utilize manual therapy, corrective exercises and modalities including acupuncture and electrotherapy to improve your function and quality of life.


Senior Consultant

Kuljeet Cheema has a decade of experience in the field of physiotherapy. He specializes in complex musculoskeletal conditions with a focus on trigger point dry needling, manual therapy and biomechanics of exercise prescription. He works with his team of physiotherapists and enjoys teaching, mentoring and advancing the field of physiotherapy.


Massage Therapy

At Prestige Physiotherapy, our goal is to provide therapeutic massage therapy catered to your individual needs. Massage therapy has been demonstrated to help with muscle tightness, tension from overuse and promote healing. Our Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) use hands on techniques to help promote healing, prevent injury and aid in relaxation.


Kinesiology

Aman is a registered kinesiologist who graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley after completing his Bachelor of Kinesiology degree specializing in exercise science.

Aman enjoys working with a wide variety of patients, and enjoys helping them get back to enjoying their acts of daily living as well as their hobbies through active rehab. Aman believes that education and exercise are a huge aspect of kinesiology, and strives to ensure his clients learn from their sessions and go home with the tools to rebuild their wellness.

As a practicing Kinesiologist under the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK), Aman has gained exposure to working as a member of an integrative team. Working closely with physiotherapists and massage therapists, he facilitates a community and clinic-based approach to active rehabilitation for clients recovering from motor vehicle accidents.

Harman started his academic journey at the University of the Fraser Valley, where he earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree. Motivated by his commitment to enhancing the well-being of others, he furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia.

He advocates for the implementation of evidence-based rehabilitation programs to attain functional outcomes for his patients. His treatment approach integrates manual therapy, patient education as well as exercise prescription aimed to facilitate patients swift return to regular activity. Harman possesses expertise in addressing diverse musculoskeletal conditions, such as plantar fasciitis, bicipital tendinopathy, and disc herniations. His professional experience extends to working with many different patient populations including neurological, geriatric, chronic pain and athletes.

Param Malhi is a dedicated physical therapist with a passion for helping individuals on their rehabilitation journey. They earned their undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley, where they developed a strong foundation in human movement and exercise science. Building on this knowledge, they pursued their Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia, honing their skills in rehabilitation and patient care.

With a diverse background, Param has accumulated extensive experience working with various populations, including athletes, neurological patients, and post-surgical individuals. Their expertise in exercise prescription, cultivated through 3 years of experience as a kinesiologist, enables them to tailor rehabilitation programs to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Luis completed both his Master’s of Physical Therapy and his Bachelor’s of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. Luis also holds the Canadian Orthopaedic Division Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Level 1 Certification.

Throughout his academic and professional journey, Luis has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of populations including: athletes, older adults, post-surgical patients, weekend warriors, and individuals with neurological impairments.

Luis has a passion for promoting health and wellness through a holistic approach; as well as catering to each individual’s specific needs. He uses an evidence-based approach that focuses on manual therapy, exercise prescription, and education to help his patients achieve their best possible outcomes. Luis welcomes patients with all conditions at any stage of their rehab journey. Luis will keep you motivated to stay on track and reach your personal goals. Luis is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Umtej began his academic career at the University of Waterloo, graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. His passion for improving the livelihood of others led him to pursue his Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto.

Umtej believes in utilizing an evidence based rehabilitation program to achieve functional outcomes for his patients. His treatment approach combines manual therapy, education and therapeutic exercise to allow patients to return to the activities they cherish. Umtej has experience treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions including (but not limited to): rotator cuff tears, ACL injuries and back pain. He has worked with both pediatric and adult populations in clinical settings. Professionally, Umtej is furthering his knowledge by pursuing courses in acupuncture, manual therapy and functional movement screening (FMS).

Inder adopts a holistic and patient-centered approach, utilizing exercise, manual therapy techniques, and education to assist her patients in achieving their therapeutic goals. Her expertise spans workplace injuries, motor vehicle accidents, post-surgical rehabilitation, and athletic injuries. To enhance her skills and methodologies, she intends to further her education through courses in Dry Needling, Orthopaedics, and Manual Therapy.

Kuljeet Cheema (KC) graduated from the University of Dublin in 2015 with a Masters of Physiotherapy and a member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and British Columbia. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo with Honours in Kinesiology.

With respect to his clinical approach, Kuljeet practices a multifaceted treatment, which includes biomechanical evidence-based medicine in conjunction with psychosocial approach. Kuljeet believes that manual therapy; patient education and consistent rehabilitative exercise are integral to successful patient outcomes.

An athlete himself, Kuljeet’s true passion lies in working with athletes who are required to perform at the highest level. He understands the importance of optimal performance and strives to ensure that his patients are provided with the highest quality of care to ensure they recover rapidly and return stronger than before.

When not in clinic, Kuljeet continues to remain active by working out, playing golf and riding his motorcycle. He continues to work on his golf game and enjoys spending time with his newborn child.

Avineet is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Her interest in human anatomy and physiology began while pursuing her Bachelor’s of Kinesiology degree. She grew up playing all kinds of sports but spent most of her childhood playing soccer. If she wasn’t playing, she found ways to be involved in the game by volunteering as a coach or helping with warm ups and taping from the bench.

Avineet is passionate about helping athletes enhance their performance, whether in maintenance or rehabilitation. In addition to sports treatments, she also has an interest in working with patients who suffer from headaches, overuse injuries and injuries post motor vehicle incidents. As a massage therapist, she utilizes a combination of various modalities such as myofascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point release therapy and active release therapy.

In her spare time, you can find Avineet spending her time with family, in the gym or watching the Canucks continue to rebuild their team.

Karm is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from the West Coast college of massage therapy.

Her goal is to provide personalized care to assist each patient in reaching optimal health. In order to provide long term resolution, she looks for the root cause of your particular problem while addressing symptoms for immediate relief.

She uses a variety of techniques and tailors each treatment to your specific individual needs. Her current methodology contains a mix of Swedish techniques, Myofacial Release, Deep Tissue modalities, and Neuromuscular Facilitation techniques. She has a passion for injury rehabilitation and prevention and experience working with a broad range of patients, including athletes, pre and post natal, motor vehicle accidents, and those with overuse injuries or postural dysfunctions. Her approach uses soft tissue manipulations during treatment, combined with stretching and strengthening recommendations as home care, to achieve optimal therapeutic effect .
